To all of you who have been keeping up with my BLOG, thank you very much for your loyalty. I sincerely apologize for taking so long to get back to writing. I did not intend to
be so very long in doing so, and I promise to write more frequently and to give you some interesting things to think about and tell to others. To all of you who are visiting for the first time, thank you for your interest.
The last time I wrote, I said that I would tell you about the free publishing that Amazon has both on Kindle and on CreateSpace, their paperback book subsidiary. And I want to reiterate that Amazon
does not charge an author anything for publishing on Kindle or on their paperback book division. Isn't that amazing? I could hardly believe it when I discovered that several years ago. I published four books on Kindle in 2014 and 2015, and paid nothing
at all to get them before readers in a number of countries. That really beat the thousands I paid to publish books back in the Nineties and could only distribute them where I could carry them in my car. I told my granddaughter about that,
and she, C. A. Vincent, a college student, published a short piece titled Bartleby's Burden: A Short Story last year on Kindle, and made a little money. A big help in getting a book ready for publication on Kindle is a free Kindle book
(published by Kindle Direct Publishing) titled Building Your Book for Kindle. I'll tell you more about how to publish on Kindle--the first steps that you need to take--tomorow, I promise. I may not be able always to write on successive days
but I am going to do just that until I give you information that will get you started on your way to publishing at no cost to you.
Goodnight for now!
